Angelic memorial stone

Welcome to Mill Road Cemetery

The cemetery is a special place to relax and be peaceful, watch the birds, walk the dog, absorb the history and spirit of remembrance, or simply enjoy the semi-wildness. It is listed by English Heritage as a Grade II site and several of the tombs are also listed as of special architectural and historical interest.
We welcome everyone to come along and join us, and hope you enjoy the time you spend here.

The cemetery is consecrated ground, consisting of parish burial grounds. The land is held in trust by the Trustees, and maintained by the City Council in collaboration with the Friends of Mill Road Cemetery.

Cambridge City Council are delighted to announce that an exhibition of the final designs for the artworks at Mill Road Cemetery by the artist Gordon Young will be held in the Council’s Customer Service Centre at Mandela House from January 30th to February 3rd and also in the Salvation Army Centre on Mill Road from February 6th to the 10th. Comments can be left at either venue or at publicart@cambridge.gov.uk
